If you’re looking for a great value B&B near Ironbridge – then look no further!

Cinderfield is just five minutes drive from both the famous Ironbridge Gorge with all its museums and Telford Town Centre, with its fabulous shops.

It is also just minutes off the M54 motorway as it passes through Telford (J6), so it’s perfectly placed for a stopover on the way to mid and north Wales or for a few days break to discover the secrets and splendours of Shropshire.



Two double rooms (first floor) – each with en suite facilities (including over bath showers) and overlooking the secluded landscaped garden.

One double (ground floor) bedroom, which enjoys private shower room facilities. There is level access into the bedroom and shower room. Whilst the shower-room is not fully equipped for people with disabilities, there is wheelchair access and a shower stool for use if required.

Each room is equipped with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits; flat screen TV and DVD; and hair-dryer. There is a small library of DVD’s for guests use, should you wish to rest in your room.

Rooms are available from 3 pm on day of arrival and vacated on last day by 10am. Alternative arrival times can be made by prior arrangement with the owners.

Cars are parked on the private driveway and secure covered storage is available for cycles and motorcycles


A full English breakfast with toast, fruit juices, cereals and tea/coffee is served or (if advised in advance) something else that you prefer. Vegetarian options are available. All foods are sourced from within 5 miles of Cinderfield and cooked fresh to order.


Set in a quiet old lane in the hamlet of Doseley, ‘Cinderfield’ is five minutes drive from the historic and picturesque town of Ironbridge – the birthplace of Industry and UNESCO World Heritage site, with its famous iron bridge, museums and riverside night life.

If the weather is fine you can enjoy the beautiful and lovingly tended gardens at this upmarket B & B. There are several outdoor seating areas, as well as the breakfast room. So if the sun is out why not enjoy your breakfast ‘al fresco’?

Cinderfield is a non-smoking establishment, which is unable to accept pets. ‘Wilson’ (the family dog), has his own pets (Martin and Chris) to help him keep guests happy. And they are all very well behaved and extremely friendly!

Wilson, Martin and Chris know the area very well and are happy to share their knowledge and make suggestions for days out if you are staying overnight or a few days.

Additional Services

For a small charge Chris or Martin will supply a packed lunch of fresh wholesome food. They are also happy for you to order an evening take away from any of the many local restaurants to eat in the dining room or out in the garden area. Whatever your preference, you will find a wide variety of take aways, restaurants, bistros and Inns just a short drive or walk away.

Local Activities

Locally you will find:

  • a very active Darts league with many matches played at the Travellers Joy (about 250yds)
  • Horsehay Bowls (around 400yds)
  • Horsehay Golf Course (0.5 mile)
  • Off Road Motorsport (around 11.5 miles)
  • Angling on the River Severn and many local ponds and lakes (subject to license etc.)
  • Sports Halls and Swimming baths (2 miles)
  •  National Cycle route (NCR 45 Mercian Way passes through Ironbridge just 3 miles away).

A little further afield  (3 miles) is the world famous UNESCO site of the Ironbridge Gorge and a choice of excellent museums. Other attractions include:

  • Telford Town centre for retail therapy (about 3 miles)
  • Much Wenlock birthplace of the modern Olympics (4 miles) ;
  • County town, Shrewsbury (15 miles)
  • RAF Cosford Air Museum(10 miles)
  • the Shropshire Hills (5 miles+) and much, much more.
